Rewindly is an AI-powered video analysis service operated as a sole proprietorship based in Iowa, USA. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and service at rewindly.io.

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile picture from Google.

Content you submit: Video files you upload and YouTube links you submit are processed to generate transcripts, summaries, and key moments. Raw video files are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Analysis artifacts are stored until you delete them.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including analyses created, messages sent to Reel, upload minutes consumed, and feature interactions.

Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive and store limited payment metadata from Stripe such as customer ID, subscription ID, and transaction status.

Waitlist: If you join our waitlist, we store the email address you provide solely to notify you at launch.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process your video and YouTube content to generate AI analysis
• Manage your account and subscription
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, service notifications)
• Respond to your support requests
• Enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train AI models.

We use the following third-party services to operate Rewindly:

• Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in US regions)
• Google Gemini API — AI video analysis (content is sent to Google for processing per their API terms)
• OpenAI Whisper API — audio transcription (audio is sent to OpenAI for processing per their API terms)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — web hosting

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of data. We only share data with these services to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

Raw video files are deleted within 24 hours of processing. Analysis data (transcripts, summaries, chat history) is retained for as long as you maintain an account. You can delete individual analyses or your entire account at any time.

Waitlist emails are retained until the waitlist is closed or you request removal.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Delete your account and associated data
• Request a copy of your data
• Opt out of any marketing communications

We use cookies solely for authentication purposes (to keep you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on all database tables, and secret key separation for server-side operations. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
